Oz

Inferno is a kinda neat operating system developed in the mid 90's at Bell Laboratories. I worked on it for a few years and with it ever since. I have quite a different Inferno than the commercial product available from Vita Nuova. It's architecturally very similar to both the original Lucent Beta and that of VN but has evolved in differing ways.

For those concerned about licensing issues I have been assured by Charles from VN that there shouldn't be any problems. I am going to believe him. I'm not selling anything. I'm not competing with VN. Though a merge would be nice the work is monumental. So consider Oz-Inferno to be my experimental vision of what Lucent Inferno might have been and VN's as a commercial grade realization. Legal

Anyhow, it's happening.

There is also Dis on a Chip - the Inferno virtual machine on an FPGA.
