Pool at the Sandbar

It was a pretty nasty day in May of '96 and Kenny had come over to do some work. I was preparing for my trip to the U.S., where I had some negotiating to do with Big Mike, and to Paris, where we would go Housbotting.

My valet Kenny had a lot on his hands. In particular we had to get together my traveling digital setup. So he fell asleep in the astronaut chair instead.

I was hanging out trying to decide what to do about Slumber Boy when Mia (a.k.a. Peach Boy) turned up. We had a few pipes, woke Ken and convinced him to go home, and then headed off to the Sandbar at the beautiful Hotel Bondi to shoot some stick and experiment with my newly acquired digital camera.

The Sandbar was constructed by gutting the concrete roof-top "Beer Garden" and covering it with a canopy so that it was unbearably hot in the Summer. A few pool tables and a bit of neon were added for effect. We discovered that Sue had a good rack, that the flash was no good up close, and that Mia had a crap bridge. (Actually I have no idea what her name was but she looks like a Sue.)

I think Mia forgot to wear a shirt that day and check out his tiny little acid-burnt-out eyeballs! The message to the youth of today is clear: drop out, live in your car and pick peaches.
